How does it compare?
The Harbinger HBG-06 isn’t here to be sexy—it’s here to crush diesel with cold, quiet competence. Built for Class 4-6 commercial duty, this medium-duty electric truck delivers 440 horsepower, a 210 kWh battery, and up to 3,170 kg (6,989 lbs) of cargo capacity. At $85,000, it undercuts diesel TCO over time, targeting the likes of the Ford E-Transit Cutaway, Freightliner eM2, SEA 5 EV, and Blue Arc delivery van. The HBG-06 is the EV workhorse that ditches ICE noise for torque and uptime.
Range
The HBG-06 offers up to 400 km (248 miles) with its maxed-out 210 kWh battery—scalable in 35 kWh modules. That edges past the Ford E-Transit Cutaway (202 km / 126 mi), stomps the Blue Arc EV (280 km / 174 mi), and holds even with the SEA 5 EV (300–350 km / 186–217 mi). The Freightliner eM2 can stretch to 370 km (230 mi), but Harbinger’s low energy use (~1.5–2.0 kWh/km) keeps it efficient, even fully loaded.
Acceleration
0–100 km/h in under 10 seconds unladen puts the HBG-06 lightyears ahead of diesel haulers, many of which struggle to hit 60 mph in under 20. With 443 hp (330 kW), it’s not just electric—it’s agile, especially for urban fleets. Rivals like the eM2 and SEA 5 can’t match the off-the-line punch Harbinger delivers with its custom eAxle drive unit and near-instant torque delivery.
Power
The Harbinger HBG-06 outputs 440 hp (328 kW) and over 800 Nm (590 lb-ft) of torque, thanks to its integrated motor-inverter-gearbox eAxle. That eclipses Ford E-Transit’s 266 hp (198 kW), the Blue Arc’s 355 hp (265 kW), and the SEA 5’s ~280 hp (210 kW) class estimates. Only Freightliner eM2 gets close with 325 hp (242 kW), but it doesn’t deliver the modular battery flexibility that Harbinger offers.
Charging Time
Thanks to 800V architecture, the HBG-06 supports DC fast charging up to 200 kW, reaching 80% in about 60 minutes. Most rivals like the Blue Arc and Ford E-Transit charge at a slower 115–150 kW rate, with longer 90-minute windows. Harbinger’s system can also slow charge at 50–75 kW overnight—ideal for depot-based fleets. And since the packs are modular, you don’t have to lug extra weight if your routes are short.
Price
At $85,000 (€78,000), the Harbinger HBG-06 qualifies for up to $40,000 in U.S. federal incentives, potentially bringing the cost below $50,000 (€46,000). That compares favorably with the Freightliner eM2 ($150,000+), SEA 5 ($120,000+), and Blue Arc ($90,000–$100,000). Ford E-Transit remains cheaper upfront (~$55,000), but lacks the range, payload, and durability for medium-duty work. Harbinger wins on long-term ROI with a 450,000-mile platform that’s built to outlast.
