In April 2021, Audi unveiled the compact electric SUV Q4 e-tron, and along with the regular version, the Q4 Sportback e-tron in cross-coupe style was immediately presented. The Ingolstadt-based company already has a pair of e-tron and e-Tron Sportback electric crossovers. The Q4 brothers are not only more compact (body length - 4590 mm versus 4901 mm), but are also built on a different platform. If the older models use the MLB Evo architecture, which was originally developed for cars with internal combustion engines and later converted to electrical installation, then for the Q4 exclusively electric MEB from Volkswagen is used. It is used, in particular, by the Volkswagen ID.4.
