Lexus will offer a ten-year warranty (or one million kilometers) on all the functions of traction batteries on the LEXUS UX300e 45 kWh model. The Japanese company also published more detailed information about the battery and its air cooling. Air cooling is used for the LEXUS UX300e battery, with the statement that it is “safer and lighter than water-cooled systems.” It is assumed that air cooling ensures stable operation of the battery even at high speed with multiple fast charging. The company claims that the cabin air conditioning system works in combination with air cooling in the battery to improve the car's performance, battery life and charging capacity. Lexus ux300e 45 kWh is powered by a 150 kW electric motor, which is located on the front axle in the classic engine compartment. An all-wheel drive version with a second electric motor on the rear axle is apparently not planned. Lexus presents LEXUS UX300e 45 kWh as the first electric car of Toyota Group in Europe.
